Our Focus
Tanga Community, a social enterprise by SPECTRA, was founded in 2016 by Young Rwandan feminists to work on Sexual and reproductive justice challenges faced by young women and girls in all their diversity in Rwanda including socio-economic and climate justice issues and to bridge inter-generational knowledge gaps and challenges faced by diverse women and girls
Mission Statement
Tanga Community is a Rwandan initiative grounded in Pan African feminists’ principles and values that aim at steering diverse women, girls and young people’s actions for realization of comprehensive bodily autonomy and a dignified life.
Vision
A Rwandan society in which rights of diverse women, girls and young people are realized, where they are free from violence and discrimination, are empowered to participate fully and effectively in the decisions that affect their lives and livelihood and contribute meaningfully to sustainable thriving and wellbeing of their communities and people.
