LéonieMutoni is a human rights advocatededicated to strengthening access to justice and legal empowerment in Rwanda. Shehas a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Media and Communication, with a concentration in Public Relations.
As the Director of Programs at The Legal Aid Forum, she leads the strategic coordination and implementation of initiatives aimed at strengthening human rights protections and improving access to justice for marginalized communities.
In her role, Léonieoversees the development and execution of justice sector projects, including draftingproposals, budgeting, and reporting. She plays a key role in capacity-building efforts by organizing training programs, workshops, and advocacy campaigns to promote legal literacy and human rights awareness. Additionally, she contributes to policy and legal reforms by identifying opportunities for governance interventions and supporting strategic advocacy efforts.
Léonie is a skilled leader, managing a team of program staff while fostering strong collaborations with development partners, government institutions, and civil society organizations.
