Strengthening Rwanda feminist movement through establishment of Rwanda Feminists platform, knowledge production and analysis of Rwanda feminists’ issues, strengthening feminists’ leadership,capacity building and solidarity

Tanga Community, Through RWAFEM conducted a mapping and a database of Rwanda Feminists, their needs and expertise.

Facilitated RWAFEM development of leadership and coordination structures, principles and values.

Supported a capacity strengthening initiative among LBQTIA+ community members and organizations who are also members of RWAFEM in a 2 days retreat called “Healing in solidarity with the LBTQ movement in Rwanda”.

Contributed to feminists’ knowledge production platforms and campaigns on period poverty awareness in one district in Rwanda.

RWAFEM has also developed a communications strategy to guide the communications on their media platforms.

Through this project, 24 impact women and girls’ stories were produced in partnership with The New Times, in 2023, during Women’s month in March 2023.
