Yvette Giramahoroi

Project officer

Yvette is a dedicated health and gender advocate. She has a bachelor’s degree in health sciences (anesthesia) from the University of Rwanda and got different certificates from training related to reproductive health and those concerned with leadership.

She has served as SRHR champion with HDI advocating for reproductive health and rights. She has also served as the director for SRHR branch in Inganzoy’ururimin’umuco through cultural promotion. She has under gone training in comprehensive sexual education for teachers under UNESCO enhancing her expertise in education.

Yvette have also worked as teacher assistant at G.S Nyarusange through FAWE Rwanda, supporting students’ academic growth. Her background in healthcare including being a student nurse at Kabgayi level two teaching hospitals gaining essential experience in patient care.

Her diverse role in education, health care and advocacy highlight her commitment to empowering communities and promoting inclusion. Yvette is now currently serving as project officer at Tanga community under Adolescents and Young People’s Realization of Right to Information (AYORI) project
